The LPS line-up starts with the LPS-1, which features a single 15V/4A output for users requiring power for only one device. The LPS-1's highly regulated delivery system operates by way of a large, proprietary transformer, high-energy storage capacitors and high-speed regulator circuit.
The LPS-2U-96K features a high-quality USB to S/PDIF converter circuit operating at a data-transfer rate of up to 96kHz. Note that the S/PDIF signal is transformer-coupled in order to eliminate the possibility of ground-loop-based noise, which is notoriously difficult or even impossible to deal with by other methods. An LPS-2U-96K spares the user from hours of wasted time in tracking down elusive gremlins. Equally as important, an LPS-2U-96K improves a sound system's performance characteristics. LPS-2U-* power supplies provide an additional 15V/1A output.
Finally, for computer-based music systems, NuForce offers the LPS-2U-192K. Sharing the same features as those of the LPS-2U-96K, this unit ups the ante with a USB data-transfer rate of up to 192kHz. Nuforce LPS-1... The difference in High-Fidelity sound comes back with the force. Nuforce that is.Mar 05, 2012

These are my first impressions of the LPS-1 from Nuforce and I posted it on Head-fi.com
"Ok so I've had about two days listening to Nuforce HDP/AKG K702 with their Linear Power Supply. I would say the change is very apparent. Taking away the LPS-1 from the HDP results in a less refined and spacious sound. For me, the increased depth and the added dimension to the sound of the HDP with LPS-1 makes it simply futile to listen to without as I can't go back to the standard PSU included for the reason that there just seems to be too much loss of detail and resolution. In respect, HDP stock is still amazing.
What you get with a great Linear Power Supply upgrade to my ears and is obvious to others around me are, improved separation, improved mid-range, improved all aspects of bass, improved soundstage and just overall improvement in the detail, clarity and quality of sound. The improvements just can't be counted as there are far too many!
This is to say you don't know what you are missing out on until you have heard the combination of the HDP (EDIT: ANY AMP/DAC) with a Linear Power Supply. The HDP is still great without a PSU upgrade but with any decent LPS whether it be the Sigma 11 or the Nuforce LPS-1, there is to be an expected gain in sound and from Nuforce themselves said the LPS-1 will bring the HDP to entirely new heights."
Now to add to to this, just like the LPS-1 adds to my sound, I would have to say if one is serious about getting great sound from there system, a Linear Power Supply upgrade should be priority. When you listen with the LPS-1, you will know immediately what you paid for and rest assured that your money was well spent as the quality and dynamics of the sound will prove this.
You can't go wrong with this LPS from Nuforce, and I would definitely not hesitate to pick up another when needed.
