Another great product from NuForceMay 09, 2011

This is my 5th piece of equipment from NuForce. My first was the first generation Icon Amp, which is the "swiss army knife" of desktop amplification for anyone who works on a computer all day and is a demanding music listener. The USB and RCA line-in connections handle my squeezebox Duet and anything streaming off my computer. The line-out allows me to power a small sub-woofer, in addition to the two main speakers.
The power output of the Icon Integrated amp will get you ejected from even a hard-walled office during the work week, but lacks the "motivational" sound levels required for a weekend spent working instead of relaxing. Hence the puchase of the 24W Icon amp was an "upgrade" to my system.
Paired with some Mirage NanoSats, and feeding it some FLAC lossless material, the quality of music through the NuForce system is as satisfactory as my system at home (which cost way more).
If you go with basic black the equipment is totally inconspicuous on your desk, and you can massively enjoy your music in (visual if not aural) stealth mode without resorting to earbuds.
Everything I've purchased from NuForce is exceptionally well built. Like miniturized "high-end" gear, and Nuforce has offered some add-on options/tweeks like a cross-over network and high current power supply which I felt improved the sound. These enhancement are now incorporated in the baseline products so NuForce is a company that really strives to improve the engineering of its products while keeping reasonable price points. Not bells-and-whistles, but solid product enhancements that improve the sound you hear.
