Good upgradeAug 24, 2011
By Peacefrog Having owned more than a handful of USB DAC/amps over the past few years, I have usually been disappointed with the package-supplied USB cables. They were usually thin, too long, or just didn't provide adequate shielding and jitter control. The NuForce USB cable is relatively inexpensive and, after some burn-in, will improve the overall sound quality of your DAC. The length, for me, is ideal, and it comes nicely packaged. Before looking for USB DAC greener pastures, just buy this cable and try it. You might be pleasantly surprised that a $20 cable upgrade might be all you need.

Not JUST a cableFeb 09, 2011
By Faizal Arabi It's a cable that transports audio so don't scrimp. RFI shielding is important and the stock cable (that came with the u-DAC 2) is not shielded and it's too long; that's like having an extra long antenna to pick up radio frequencies which I didn't need. The whole reason for upgrading to an external DAC was to eliminate noise from my PC audio. Plus this cable is pretty reasonably priced in relation to my other cables and components. Highly recommended.

High quality USB cableJan 22, 2011
By Brasewel Noronha You know this is a high quality cable just by holding the wire in your hand. Wire is thick and ends are gold plated. Works just like its supposed to.

My Tests Indicated Cable is AverageMar 10, 2011
By Karen Tolleshaug I ordered the NuForce USB cable and did a comparison with a $25 7' Monster Digital Audio USB cable that I already own. My ears told me the NuForce cable didn't match up in sound quality. Connected between PC laptop and HRT Steamer II+ DAC, the sound with the NuForce wasn't as clear, sharp, open, etc. as the Monster cable. So from my experience, the Monster is a better sounding cable (maybe the best) at this price range. The finished thickness of the NuForce cable is noticeably thinner than the Monster cable as well. Whether due to gauge of wires, insulation, shielding, sleeve or jacket, all those things can help performance I presume.
