Excellent, especially considering price.Aug 25, 2010 I am so glad that I searched around the net long enough to find these. They are awesome earphones. Previously, I have owned v-moda vibes(broke after a year) and philips she9550's(cord frayed after a year, but I liked them while they lasted), as well as a pair of Koss PortaPros that are still in good condition. The Koss pair sounds the best, but they are a bit unsuitable for travel/commute so I've always liked to have a nice pair of earphones as well.
One thing about the she9550s was that the soundstage was not that great, especially after getting used to the koss pair. However, the nuforce buds have a really excellent soundstage, especially for earbuds. I could really tell where the sound was coming from, and it felt like the band was in the room with me.
Bass was great too, substantial but clean so that I could hear what it was.
However, the stock tips did not fit very comfortably for me despite that I usually find stock smalls comfy, although I am sure this differs for everyone. I would highly recommend getting comply t-400 foam tips. They are SO COMFY, plus they help with noise isolation, which is already pretty good. With these in, I cannot hear a person talking even if they are right in front of me. But one thing: if you normally fit in stock tip mediums, you can get the complys sold on amazon because they only come in medium size. However, if you're like me and normally wear stock smalls or larges then you should go to Comply's website and get that size.
Also, like other reviewers mentioned, burn-in is recommended. I would advise downloading a pink noise generator or file and leaving your earbuds to play it for 30~50 hours, so about two days, at a volume slightly higher than what you'd normally set it to, taking occasional short breaks. Or you could just play whatever music you have for two days straight. The earphones really do sound better after.
The cord is nice, pretty sturdy, and I especially like the jack. It is a right-angle jack (L-jack?) and I like it particularly because my last pair stopped working because the area where the jack met the cord totally died.
Anyway, for this price, the nuforce ne-6s are an awesome product, and my favorite earphone so far. I find myself actively listening to the music now. Hope this helped a bit :)
Excellent ChoiceAug 09, 2010 You can't go wrong choosing these headphones. After determining the correct foam tips all is perfect in your own music world. For me it's like a switch was turned on and all I could say to myself was WOW!
Awesome Sound QualityJul 20, 2010 Don't look any further for better earphones at this value. The only downside, which prevents me from giving 5 stars, is that these earphones are troublesome when used for running as they slip out of your ear quite easily and provide an unwanted thumping sensation when the cord flies around. Other than that, this is a great set of earphones.
I found ''THE'' headphonesJul 14, 2010 After a lot of research, a lot of trials and errors, i finally found the perfect earphones for me! I was looking for not too expensive quality earphones for my daily subway ride to work, something sturdy that i could just roll over my ipod when done and shove in my pocket. Sound quality and confort was also required.
I hate the ipod white stock buds, they just sound horrible to me and they just don't stay still in my ears, always kept falling. I own some Koss PortaPro headphones at home and i was looking to something similar sounding but in earphones. After reading a lot of good reviews on Amazon, I bought some Sony MDR-ex76 for 50$! I had them for one and a half year(left earphone stop working after normal use). What a waste, i wish i could have this precious time again to enjoy it instead with Nuforce N6 earphones. The Sony was a step up compare to the ipod buds but so horrible(in term of sound and confort) compared to the N6 it's not even funny.
For the same price tag, the N6 are way way more confortable and secure in the ear, it will not move and create a perfect seal so, in the subway, the music sounds and flows perfectly, block most of the outside noise, so forget having to play or adjust the volume, there is no need. The bass is just really well define and solid, i can ear layers of bass(in electronica or techno music) that i didnt know was there, almost better than the PortaPro or my loudspeakers at home. Anyway i was very impressed with the overall sound from these earphones, i can honestly say that i have found my utopian earphones, cheap(50$), lightweight, solid build(everything looks very well made and durable) and with amazing sound!
I have also tried Sennheiser CX-300 and Bose earphone that are twice more expensive, but i really thing my N6 are as good as both of them, for a better price, so a better value in my opinion. The N6 have a shith-clip so the cord have less tangle when in place, really useful. The cord is a little long, but it's not that bad. I can't really find any real important fault to these, i would like to congratulate and thank Nuforce for this amazing product, it's not often that i find something that well made in that price range, bravo!
NiceJul 07, 2010 These are above the price value beyond forty dollars. I do like the clip that comes attached with it. I wish they had a slightly smaller size, but I have small holes and that is my opinion. If you do have the money, I do suggest springing for Skull Candy Full Metal Jacket's. Those are really the only two ear buds I owned and both were perfect.
