Detailed sound and stylish designApr 25, 2011
By J. Silvia The Podio sounds great and is very small and easy to transport. The unit is charged via USB but you can plug the USB cable into an iPod or iPhone USB wall charger and it'll work as well. I use my Podio with my iPhone and I am very pleased with the quality of the sound and battery life. If you're looking for something compact that produces clean sound then look no further. The Podio doesn't just sound great, it looks great too. Another winner from Nuforce!
Small and Well DesignedMar 15, 2011
By Ron Thigpen I've had the Podio for about a week now. On opening, my first impression was of it's high build quality and small size. It has a very solid feel and is quite handsome. It was a bit smaller than I had envisioned it, about the diameter of a US 50 cent coin. It does have quite a pleasing sound for it's small size. The driver achieves a reasonable volume level and the frequency response range is good. It does sound best when pointed at the listener, but is does just fine for listening throughout the room. This is not going to compete with multi-speaker, boombox type systems on volume levels or bass response, but that's not what it's designed for. The design is all about portability. It's small enough to just leave in your bag or backpack, ready for use any time. Podio fills the gap between personal listening with earphones and larger portable speakers. Pair it with a small portable player for the modern equivalent of a transistor radio with much better sound.
